I just found out about this. Jill and Richard, please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful person as was your father. Someone once said that the only thing you owe your children is a good name. You (as was I) were blessed with outstanding Christian parents. The obituary mentioned your mom’s painting. Thirty years ago my dad self published a book of his poems and your mom’s sketches were used as illustrations in the book. I think of her every time I see them. God send his Comforter to you in this time of mourning.

My Aunt Jeanie was so special in so many ways. As a child my brother and I used to visit our cousins each summer (Jill and Rick ) and their parents, Aunt Jeanie and Uncle Bill. What wonderful people and a very special aunt and uncle they were!! I will always treasure the memories of beach trips in Lantana with homemade “Hogie” subs (by Aunt Jeanie) and Chex Mix that I loved most of all. They were truly my second set of parents! My parents and we kids (Phil,Lori, and myself) would camp In the Smokey Mountains every summer in August and meet Aunt Jeanie, Uncle Bill, Jill, and Rick from St Pete for a week of tent camping! What wonderful memories of tubing, hiking, singing around the campfires at night and fellowship and lots of laughter—- most of all we kids were on the watch for bears! Uncle Bill would often tease and question Jill and myself whether it was the “four legged bears or the two legged ones?? In reality it was both!! I often thank God for those special and treasured memories I will never forget. Will always love my Aunt Jeanie and Uncle Bill.

To Miss Jean’s family, I always thought of her, even after leaving. She was beautiful and sweet. Her whole face lit up when she smiled! I was just thinking of her again this past week, how she was always so bright and smiling saying “ Good morning!” when I saw her. Her paintings are beautiful and are a great legacy for you all. I’m happy Dominic was still caring for her. What a treasure he is! I’m sending my love and prayers to all of you. Mary Wiley

Jean was so special, nothing compared to her beautiful smile. I’ll miss her dearly.
