Obituary of Dorothy S. Wakem

Wakem, Dorothy S., 77, of Clearwater, FL, and formerly of Caribou, Maine, died Tuesday September 18, 2001 at Mease Hospital Dunedin, FL. She was born in Easton, Maine and came to Clearwater, FL in 1994 from Rangoon, Burma. She was a retired self-employed and co-owner of Columbia Dry Cleaners in Caribou, Maine. She was a veteran in the Army during World War II. Mrs. Wakem was a life member of the ?Daughter?s of Isabella? in Caribou, Maine. Survivors include her daughter Sallee McCarthy of Fairfax, Virginia, her son, Jonathan of Spokane, Washington, one brother, Dwight Bragdon of Glenburn, Maine, caregiver, Fred Hodgman of St. Petersburg, FL, and four grandsons. Mrs. Wakem was preceded in death by her son, Capt. Joseph J. Wakem, Jr. Family requests donations are made to Hospice of Florida Suncoast, 300 East Bay Dr., Largo, FL. 34640.
