Dear Cookie, Chip and Scott,
I was sorry to hear of your dad's passing last night when I called my brother Jay.
You and your family have always held a special place for me. You were there for us when we first moved to Florida, and we always felt that you were great neighbors.
While we haven't seen each other in a long time, I think of you often, and still remember the last time I spoke with your dad there on 37th Avenue.
He made many important contributions during his lifetime, and I am sure we will all miss him.
Hugs to your Mom and you all,
Marty Johnson

Mrs. Crawford, Chip, Cookie and Scott - we are very saddened to hear of Mr. Crawfords passing. We have many fond memories of Mr. Crawford. He was always stopping by to see if he could help out with any chore he saw us doing. He could always be depended upon to get our mail and paper when we were out of town. We even could not remember ever having to take our trash can back in from the curb for many of the years we have been neighors. We will greatly miss seeing George and Cathy sitting in their lawn chairs in the driveway waving to all the neighbors and watching them walk, hand-in-hand down to the park to watch the sunsets how sweet. Jesse & I even remember shortly after we moved in when he gave Jesse a plastic lawnmower to follow behind me like he remembered me doing when my father mowed the lawn. I am not sure if he saw from the window, that now Jesse is mowing our lawn... I am sure he would be proud.
I am sorry we will not be able to make the services on Monday afternoon. The kids will be in school, Saira has just started a new job in January and I will be out of town on Business through Thursday.
Our thoughts our with you. I hope you understand he is at rest now and has left many of us with very fond memories. Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Mr Crawford was my baseball coach when I played on the Peltz Shoes team at Azalea Little League in the late 60's. He was a great and positive influence on my life and I will miss him. I will never forget the first time he yelled "tag em all" to me and most of all how he gave so much of his time to us. Please accept my condolences.
