Obituary of Edward L. Cole

Cole, Edward L., Jr. M.D., P.A., ?Dr. Cole? 84, of St. Petersburg, died Monday June 21, 2004 at home. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and was a graduate of the University of Virginia. He came here in 1924 from his native Hackensack, New Jersey. He was a Pediatrician in Private Practice in St. Petersburg for 45 years. He was a former Mayor and City Councilman in St. Petersburg, He was a member of the Pinellas County Medical Association, and Christ United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Martha Ann; one daughter, Victoria S. Froom, Orlando, FL; six sons: Edward L. Cole, III, M.D., Peter VanSon, C.P.A., and Attorney Joseph A. Bayliss, all of St. Petersburg; Robert C. Bayliss, Monroe, GA; Mathew C. Bayliss, Los Angeles, CA; and R. Mitchell Bayliss, St. Pete Beach; and eight grandchildren, including beloved Amanda R.
