Love and Sympathy, Mabel Message from: Mabel Gettles Dear Uncle Kenny & Aunt Barb,I am very sorry to hear about Danny. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Message from: Kathy (Budzowski) Marchakitus I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Message from: Kathleen Gowdy I've always thought of Danny Caldwell as a guy who practically sparkled with charm and what might best be described as a certain charismatic warmth that was both unique and 100% genuine. He was always gracious to me. Sometimes he marched to a different drummer Sometimes he didn't choose to march at all, but without question, he was his own person.I'd like to share a couple of sparse recollections if I may...Going back pretty far, I remember Danny driving a bright purple Volkswagon van with some kind of big fancy horn perched right on top. You could see it coming from about five or ten miles away. He was always very cordial to me, the pesty kid from across the street and lots of times if I was trucking down the road on foot, he'd stop and offer me a ride to my destination. I was sure that that vehicle had to be just the coolest form of transportation on the whole planet, that is, until he got that shiny little green sports car! By that time, I guess I had become ostensibly bold in asking for too many rides to too many places because one day, with the utmost of charming smiles, he suggested that perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea for me to take up hitchhiking.I can't say we really kept in touch over the years but I would run into him every great once in a while and he was always so nice. That charisma remained intact!I recall that he was quite particular about doing things right, down to the minute detail. When I needed to have some electrical work done in my home a few years back, it never even occurred to me to call any other company for estimates, because I knew that if I used Danny's company, I would get a fair price and a job that would be done right. While no words of mine could begin to ease your grief, I just wanted you to know that, deeply saddened, I am thinking about you constantly. Sincere sympathy,Debra Cassistre(your old neighbor) Message from: Debra Cassistre Just heard of your loss.
